Johannes Billey

  • Art Director UX
  • Hamburg, Germany

Hi, my name is Johannes Billey and I am a designer based in Hamburg, Germany. Currently I am working as Advanced UI Designer at local e-commerce agency diconium (recently became a Volkswagen company).

I always had a thing for art - especially Graffiti - which turned into graphic design when I first got to try a copy of Photoshop at the age of fifteen. Through my high school years I decided that I need to help in shaping the way things look and behave around humans. I set my sight on advertising- and interaction design at the HAW and found love in creating clean user interfaces and websites.

I'm passionate for everything crisp, sophisticated and minimal - from design to furniture, cars, music and movies. When travelling I'm constantly on the hunt to freeze the perfect moment into a photograph. Off-work I create handmade furniture and leather goods.

You can always contact me or connect via Xing or LinkedIn.

Fun fact: You might know me from my days at deviantART - as I'm probably responsible for most of those colored irises you see in photographs - my "Eye Color" photoshop action has been downloaded more than 241k times. I also created a special B&W action counting 385k+ downloads.
